THE QDIME GROUP
The Qdime Group was born in 2010. During that year Qdime Limited, a property investment company, acquired two businesses to begin the dream of creating a one-stop ‘residential property’ focused group. The two businesses they acquired that year were Hazelvine Limited, a firm of residential managing agents, operating across the south of England and into Wales, and R S Cameron Legal Services Limited, a specialist debt recovery company.
In 2011 Qdime made one of its dormant subsidiaries active. Q1 Professional Services Limited started offering a Service Charge Accounts preparation service, ready for the final review by external accountants. It now also offers Company Secretarial, Health & Safety and Surveying services.
In 2012 Qdime purchased another property management business, Castleford (Poole) Limited, which as the name suggests operates in and around the Poole area in Dorset. The company continues to operate as an independent company, not part of an enlarged property management business, as it serves a very specific, local market.
2012 was also a momentous year for R S Cameron. The company changed its name to Allsquare Legal Limited, and made a successful application to the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) to obtain a Licence to trade as an Alternative Business Structure (ABS). With effect from 1 January 2013 Allsquare became a firm of solicitors, fully registered by the SRA. We are proud that Allsquare Legal Limited was the first multi-disciplinary organisation to be awarded an ABS licence in the UK.
The group expanded its core residential property management business still further by acquiring Gem Estate Management Limited in November 2014. Based in Letchworth, Gem manages property across the south of England. As with Castleford, the business continues to trade in its own name offering its own personal style of management to its clients.
The residential management businesses continue to operate in their own right, but the accounting function for all three has now been centralised in Letchworth.
With the structure of the Group as it is, Qdime can offer a complete property management solution, from start to finish, of just the specific part of the service that a client may require.
The other major benefit, where the majority of managing agents have very little financial credibility, Qdime customers can rest easy in the knowledge that the group has a very strong balance sheet, in excess of £10 million.
